The GASMEMS Network has organised its second events (Summer School and Workshop) in the Embiez Island, Provence, France, in July 2010.
The organisation of the events was under the responsibility of the Université de Provence (contact: I. Graour) and Arjan Frijns (TUE), the Events Coordinator of the Network.
The events week were organised as follows:
- 5-7 July: Summer School
- 8 July (Thursday): excursion to the Calanques
- 9-10 July: Workshop

Excursion to the Calanques- July 8:
A one-day visit to the Calanques by boat will be organised on July 8 (Thursday), with a departure from the Embiez Island. More information will be published soon.
2nd General Assembly of the GASMEMS Network
The 2nd General Assembly of the Network will be held following the three-day Summer School, on July 7, between 17:00 and 18:00 pm. All participants of the network are invited to take part to the meeting.

Conference and accommodation fees
Fees include the participation costs to the events + accommodation in double rooms+ meals+ boat ticket.
For the different formulas, the participants must arrive and leave on the following
dates:

An extra night will be charged € 100 and a single room € 30 per night.
Grant Application
For the workshop and the summer school a limited number of grants for young researchers will be available. Candidates have to send their application indicating which event(s) they intend to attend together with their curriculum vitae before April 3, 2010 to the organizers (a.j.h.frijns@tue.nl).
Reminder: ESR/ER recruited within the network shall not apply for grant. Registration fees for the recruited fellows will have to be charged under column D of the budget of each beneficiary.
Contributed papers
Contributed papers for the workshop will be accepted as oral or poster presentations. Participants who whish to present a paper are requested to submit a draft paper manuscript in PDF format (8 pages A4 maximum), for peer review. Authors are requested to adhere to the following instructions, which are designed to ensure a uniformity of style among all the event papers (template for paper submission).
The revised papers will be published on CD-ROM.

The 1st GASMEMS workshop was held on Sept. 7 & 8, 2009 in Eindhoven. It was coupled with the 1st Summer School, hold on 9-11 Sept. 2009, the 1st meeting of the Supervisory Board (Sept. 14) and the 2nd meeting of the Executive Board (Sept.12).

A general assembly (GA) opened to all participants of the network was organised to deal with scientific and non-scientific issues (global network organisation and management of the project).
